  1. I've got on my hard disk several files that now I need to assemble together to form a complete movie. They are all VTS format.
    How can I merge them together?

    Are they all from the one DVD, or bits from various DVDs ?

    If the latter, how do you know they will match up ?

  5. Here is how my VIDEO TS folder is composed:
    Backup IFO files:
    VIDEO_TS, VTS_01_0, VTS_02_0, VTS_03_0;
    File IFO:
    VIDEO_TS, VTS_01_0, VTS_02_0, VTS_03_0;
    Film DVD files:
    VIDEO_TS (the main menu), VTS_01_0, VTS_01_1, VTS_01_2, VTS_01_3, VTS_01_4, VTS_01_5 (the whole movie I want to gather up in a single file), VTS_02_0, VTS_02_1, VTS_03_0 (other useless screen informations I would like to get rid if I can).

    Actually the real problem why I posted this thread is because I tried to burn this movie with Nero, and Nero asked me if I wanted to merge the sections 01_1 to 01_5. I said yes and burned the movie. But the result was not good. My movie gets frozen in several parts and I'm unable to watch it.
    I also have a problem with nero, since it creates a menu for my DVD which I don't really like and treat the VIDEO-TS file, the real menu, like a chapter of the movie.

    It looks like you have everything there, however you haven't said how you ripped it.

    Try this - run the whole thing through FixVTS to repair the internal structure. After that completes, try loading the results into DVD Shrink.

    If you can load it into Shrink, then the strucure is now OK and ready for burning. If you still want to remove bits and pieces you can do it with Shrink.
