    Hello all,

I have extracted the contents of 2 identical DVDs on my HDD, 1 is in 4:3 format and the other one in 16:9.

Now I'd like to create a start menu and burn everything (3 gigs) on 1 single DVD.

I have tried virtualdub but it won't read the files in the VIDEO_TS folders and on top of this i don't know how to recreate a menu using already extracted DVD files, I could try to use convertxtodvd but I don't think it will do what i want.

    Thanks for the help

You will need some kind of authoring software or use DVD Remake to combine two DVD with different aspect ratio.
Remake will generate simple menu which you can modify after in Photoshop or other editor to your liking.
4:3 and 16:9 have to be in separate VTS and menu has to use VMG domain, or be in there, to navigate to both.

    Hello,

Thanks for the help, I tried that and it turns out that in 1 of the DVD folder I have an IFO and a BUP file for each TS file and in the other folder I have an IFO and a BUP file only for VIDEO_TS.VOB and for VTS_01_0.VOB, but I still have VIDEO_0_1.VOB and the others 1_1 2_0 2_1 2_2 and 3_0 3_1 all in VOB files without IFO or BUP files and dvdremake tells me there is an error with the files

I have tried IFOEDIT but it won't generate IFO and BUP files for others than VIDEO_TS and VTS_01_0

What can I try next ?

    Thanks

Yes, Remake will import DVD, not individual files. I think you will have to resort to authoring software. That one will let you to make your own menu.
Look in tools, on left side of this page, to see which to get, some are free.
    I use DVD Lab.
