  2. Basically all you can do is make MiniDVD's (Mpeg2 format that is only about 15 minutes long). There is info on the site about how to make them, however, they are rather useless due to the time limitation.

    It don't make since.

PS2 can read blue colored CD's and has MPEG decoder cards.

You'd think once u can get the hard drive, you could d/l a vcd player.

The PS2 has an mpeg2 decoder not an mpeg1 decoder, but your right its not that hard to code vcd playing software for someone who knows what they are doing. Just wait I'm sure there will be a way to play vcds on the PS2 very soon.

M7D7G7: There is software released by jadepsx which allows you to convert your video to .pss which is a format the PS2 can read. I don't know where to get the software, your best bet would be to look on web sites specializing in psx and PS2. Once you have the software the instructions tell you step by step how to do the conversion.

No I do not have it nor know where to get it. Like I said, look around on some web sites devoted to the PS2, it shouldnt be that hard to find.

Greg12: I do not know but I'm sure the help files in the program I mentioned tell you how.

  10. M7D7G7, you can play VCD's on the PS2. But the main problem is that the PS2 doesn't play CD-R's, you need a modchip to play VCD's, and a harddrive I think. Go to http://www.sgt-dan.com check out the tutorials, for a full tutorial on VCD's for PS2, then go to downloads and you'll find all your programs for it. You'll also need the EGBrowser ISO for it to work, and it says only small clips will work.
