    No matter what setting I try, best I can get is 16:9, if I select DVD 16:9 in ffmpegX0.0.9w.

    The original is 640x272.

    If I try "Unconstrained" or either of the 2.35:1 settings (the normal and the "Keep Height" settings, you get a 4:3 stream).

    I would have thought you might get a 16:9 frame with further black bars at the top and bottom.

    You should select DVD 16:9 and add letterboxing. The settings for letterboxing depend on the engine (mpeg2enc or ffmpeg) and decoder (QT or no QT).

    OK I see that. Didn't have Decode with QT checked in the Options tab.

    Will give it a try.
