My not to terribly old TV (5-10 years old) broke thing morning. The tuner and picture aren't working. If I use the tuner in the VCR I can get the sound. Presumably I can tape Amazing Race and watch it later if I want, btu that's inconvenient. Besides the poor quality of new TV's (and I'm not necessarily blaming Samsung for this, since they all suck these days), but I remember when I bought this TV, it was to replace a more than 20 year old TV that still worked. Now I have no TV at all (OK I can listen to it, but listen only). Anyway, so now I am goingt o buy a new one. That should be no big deal, but even looking around (at elast initially) I am having trouble finding one that has a tuner built into it, much less a digital tuner so I can watch ATSC channels. I have no interest in HDTV, I just want to get the over the air digital channels for possibly better reception, and I think HDTV is a waste on a 20" TV. But I go looking and hardly any of the TV's I have seen even on Amazon even have a tuner in them. What's up with that? I'm not going to even consider a TV that doesn't have a built in tuner.

They now sell SDTVs. These can receive the digital channels, but they are not in HD. I believe this is what you are looking for.

Got a link? The smallest TV that I could fine with a digital tuner in it is 26", and that's too big.

I mean, obviously you are referring to this:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SDTV

But I haven't found any TV's with that yet.

Isn't SDTV what we used to call "TV" ten years ago?
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

From the sound of the earlier description it is basic analog tv with a built in digital tuner that can receive and downconvert hdtv signals.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

Yeah, but nobody makes that. And my old TV that just broke was made in October 2001.
