  1. Hello all

I'm trying to get a couple shows from my TIVO onto a DVD

so far i've got the file from my TIVO to my pc using tivo to go

took that file and ran it through DirectShow Dump

now i should be at the authoring stage but I seem to be stuck

trying to use only freeware i downloaded DVDAuthorGUI

when trying to add the new file into this program it prompted me to demuliplex

so i then downloaded the recommeded program from the DVDAuthorGUI site and ran the file through that

at that point I was able to add the video into DVDAuthorGUI but when i have to add the audio....well i just don't know how to find it

    any help is greatly appreciated

Don't know where in the program to add the audio, or don't know where the audio file is ?

If you used BatchDemux, it will create 2 files.. the audio and the video. If it did not, try using another demultiplexing tool, such as tmpgenc's mpeg tools or rejig.

Not knowing what format you are storing the file's into with tivo ... but you could use virtualdub to load the file , and set audio to full processing , check conversion is set at 48khz , and sav the audio as wav ... you can then use besweet to convert this to ac3 for dvdauthorgui .

Ffmpeggui13 ... name might not be spelt correct (reinstall os after ms stuff up) ... anyway , it can produce 6 channel ac3 (5.1) , but have not got about to dvdauthorgui stage to see if all is ok ... rejig (ntsc) is ok , ifoedit (pal) is fine as well ... it also dose a fine job at frame rate conversion's from test's .

Dont use besweet for 6 channel ac3 (5.1) , it dont work .
