How do you remove a 30-story building in the middle of a city? Very carefully.

You can run a plane into the side and it will come down perfectly straight.

They do that here in Vegas all the time. They just shut down a section for a period of time. To be close you paya charge, but it's primarily for the use of hardhat, dust coat, ventilation mask, goggles, & liability clause.

They purposefully make some of them lean to a small angle, though I'm not sure why, but it may have something to do with causing certain supports to collapse properly. The building naturally wants to collapse flat. The demolition crew usually wants it to collapse inward on itself or in a direction to make sure the supports collapse completely. You may blow a support and it just drops down 10 feet still standing. I wouldn't want to try and get anywhere near it if it got stuck standing like that.

See, the building wanted to collapse back towards it's flat center and stood up. poor job. It started leaning properly though. The base blow outs probably didn't ignite properly.

They wait 2 days, send in a crew of 4 people to check structure, clear a much larger area COMPLETELY, place remote charges near where it looks like the strongest support seems to be.

That or call the military for help. :/
