sorry if this has been answered before, I couldn't find it using search, All i want is a quick and dirty way to tell if the source is PAL or NTSC? i used to be able to do it with powerdvd under information but since i switched over to videolan I haven't been able to find a function similar to the one in powerdvd...the souces are usually in iso format

Doesn't it say in the NFO?
One way, although I don't know if it's "quick and dirty" enough for you, is to mount that ISO in DaemonTools, and open it in the virtual drive with DVD Decrypter in IFO Mode. The Streams Processing Tab will say either 720x480 NTSC or 720x576 PAL for the video.
