You can purchase the Lost DVDs and get all the deleted scenes, the bloopers, the commentary, behind-the-scenes, the before they were lost segments, and so on. Season 1 plus all the extras is on 7 discs and is available just about anywhere you may find DVDs for sale.

that's right ROF.
IF YOU HAVE THE ORIGINAL DVD:
you would have no problem backing it up using dvd-shrink or any one of the many freeware applications.
If you don't have the dvd then we aren't going to help you. This is not a "help me put my pirated movies to DVD" site. tell your friends. -

You know I agree with you, but I would be curious. Maybe the OP recorded the TV shows and wants to burn them to a permanent format off the current hard drive location.
Although archiving in this manner is illegal in the US and quite a few other countries such discussions aren't taboo are they? -
i did record from tv tuner to hard drive and want to be able to watch it down stairs on my big tv. not my computer monitor.

If you're a fan of Lost though I'd still recommend buying the DVD set. It's got some great info which will help explain some of the upcoming episodes or things you may have overlooked. Some great insight into the Lost phenomenon.

recording off tv for personal viewing has been done for quite a long time and products are commercially available to do so..so I don't believe that is taboo.
The red flags go up here, however, when that the episodes in question are different .avi codecs (read: xvid, divx...etc).
the statement, however, is conditional. if you downloaded the dvd-ripped episodes then section 2 is for you. If not then you have no reason for concern. -

Or try using TMpgenc for Encoding, you must still use the .WAV to avoid Audio Problems. Or Encode Audio with Besweet. -
What capture card are you using? Many will capture straight to dvd-ready mpg2.
Another solution is that you could get a standalone DVD recorder. -

deadpool2e - Try using Gui4fmpeg to convert the avi files to MPG2, then try to burn them again...

Use a bitrate calculator. Just get an average time length of an episode and multiply by four when you input the minutes into the bitrate calc. Add in some overhead for your menu.
