    hi,

have 2 VCD's wont to join them to one single file file:

    after joining with tmpgenc:

after 18min of playing vcd 1 the video skips to vcd 2.

is there any way to join the complete files to one?

I've never seen a prob with TMPGEnc Mpeg tools when fed good video. Have you tried to repair either mpg, or run thru prog to write new file headers?

"what do you mean with "good video"?"

Some video files are well within spec, & other software has no prob with them. Other times you get a video file that internally does something incorrect, or at least different , and software can't interpret it correctly.

A player doesn't have to understand a video file completely. Software that works with video files on the other hand looks for specific things inside the file. In your case the 1st file isn't getting read completely -- perhaps something tells the software that it's reached the end of the file when it hasn't.

Maybe other software wouldn't be fooled and would join the complete files. There are quite a few you could try. I'd also try prog like restream or dvd patcher or even go back to TMPGEnc's mpeg tools, cutting off the end of the 1st file to force it to write new, (hopefully ) correct information.

Might also try DGIndex with either vfapi or avisynth to supply a proxy that other prog like TMPGEnc will accept.
