Sound when you burn???? Never had that.

oh i meant the video during playback not sounds during burning....sorry about that

i think i wrote my post wrong, what i meant was there's no audio after burning the dvd, sometimes i get audio from certain files, and sometimes i dont. These are avi/xvid/mpg files...do u know why? is it cause i mute my computer?

what tool are you converting with? nerovision ?
downloaded video can contain different kind of audio and no tool supports everything....you must test different tools. -
I use Nero to convert.....when i use nero to watch my movie so i can create chapters and stuff, there is no sounds as well. But when i Play the movie itself on media player, there's sounds.
So wheni burn to a standalone dvd, i cant hear anything -
the converter is nero vision and the audio comes from
ac-c acm codec
the video codec is xvid format -
its not a joke dude....im serious...its not about UNMuting then it will have sounds....thats common sense...

The probable reason is that Nero cannot convert the audio. If you are using input video from a variety of sources then you will encounter files with various audio formats. Some programs will not convert aac audio.
You need to use gspot to identify the audio and video compression codecs. Sometimes you have to demux the files and convert the audio with another tool and then remux the file before conversion.
That's the problem with using unknown sources for your input videos. Sometimes it works well and sometimes it doesn't.
Unless you start at the beginning with a specific case stating step by step what you are doing then it will be difficult to help.
Just saying there is no sound after I burn with Nero doesn't help much.
First use gspot and see what codecs the file uses then explain how you attempted to convert the file to mpeg and author the dvd. This might encourage more users to comment in a meaningful way
