I'm using Final Cut Studio to make short movies for DVD. I'm sure this is a stupid question, but here I go:
When I finish my DVD and play it back through my DVD player on a TV set, almost invariably the volume of the sound of the music track I placed to play on the menu is much louder than the sound volume on the audio tracks of the movie itself. When the menu background music begins to play, the volume is too loud and I have to turn down the TV volume. Then I have to turn the volume way up when the movie itself starts to play. This is quite annoying. I'm sure there must be a simple solution.
The problem seems to occur when I drag a music file from iTunes and drop it into the DVD's menu (in DVDSP) to play in the background. This music seems to have too high a volume compared with the volume on the movie itself. There doesn't appear to be any way to modify the volume on the background audio once it is imported into the menu. Do I need to adjust the volume of the menu background music in another software before dragging and dropping it in DVDSP?
Thanks,
John
