    Iv just bought a new sony dvd home cinema job lot thing, iv got great sound but they is no colour when i play dvd-r? anyone help plz, i use nero and divx2dvd to convert my files.

    Grab one of each format as baldrick mentioned and try playback .

    A pal and an nstc movie on dvd .

    If one is not in colour as expected , then the unit is not multi format compatable .

    I would try atleast a couple of each format just to double check this .
