I got an ATI AIW Radeon 32 DDR about a year ago and immediately started recording TV shows, usually deleting them after viewing.
Since I want to free up some disk space, I want to archive some of the files that were created, but I really don't know the best way or how.
The only program I've used is Ulead VideoStudio 4.0, which seems exceedingly slow, and is not the easiest to use (IMO, since I don't have any other video editors to compare it to).
The files are mostly saved in what ATI calls the Good Quality format (Video: 640 x 240, NTSC (525) 6.00 M Bit/Second; Audio: 44.100 KHz, 16 Bit, Stereo).
I've also recently purchased a ReplayTV 4080 and on the AVS forum I see talk about a program called Womble for editing out commercials and stuff. Are there other programs that do this easily and quickly?
I downloaded TMPGEnc and see that it doesn't support the file format mentioned above. But then, I'm guessing that TMPGEnc is not a whole lot different than Ulead VideoStudio, which does.
Can somebody please advise?
Thanks,
Tim
