I was wondering how to extract the chapter entry points from a vcd 2.0 disc. The problem i have is this: i have a vcd 1.0 player that doesnt support PBC, and some of the vcds i have (like concerts) require PBC to skip to different tracks, hence i would like to extract the entry points from the menu and manually create a vcd 1.0 compatible track list. I would then be able to simply press previous or next to skip to another track. I've tried using vcdeasy and a number of other software, but none seem to allow extraction of entry point information. I've tried doing it manually, recording the entry points while watching the vcd, but this is laborious and I assume there has to be an easier way.

You should be able to do this in VCDEasy. Go to "Tools" and (S)VCD Build/Rip. Have it rip the VCD to a BIN and XML. It will report entry points to the log screen. Once it's done, you can also open the XML in a text editor and look for something like the following:
- <default-entry id="Chapter-0005-01"/>

295.328

704.037

951.417

1208.174

1577.142

1916.481

2110.442

2421.586

- <default-entry id="Chapter-0005-01"/>
