Actually it's just one film and it was downloaded as CD1 and CD2, but the format is DivX. Does that mean it is a VCD format??
I want to burn the film to two CD-r discs, but I'm not sure how to do it in Nero since they might already be encoded as VCDs. Do I just burn them as data discs or do I need to select "VCD" in Nero. The problem is when I do that Nero seems to start encoding which takes a lot longer than just burning as Data discs.

DivX is not VCD compatible. VCD format uses MPEG1.
<-- Visit the CONVERT section to the left and look for DivX to VCD conversion.

VCD is MPEG-1 - see What is VCD ? (top left).
So what you have is not VCD
You want to burn to two CDRs - as VCD, or as DivX ?
If you burn as data, then your settop player will need to be DivX-capable, or you could just watch them on a PC. If you want VCDs, then you need to convert. If in doubt, Google it.
