  1. Hi

Not sure if I am in the right forum for this. I have downloaded a file which is in HDTV format and can't view it on my pc.

Can anyone help with this one please?

    Thanks

use avicodec to identify the video and audio codecs you need.
or play with videolan, it supports most formats.

Most are in XVID format. Install that codec should fix it.

  4. What Baldrick said. Also the freeware Gspot will identify the codec you need. But most downloads use divx/xvid, so if you install the freeware ffdshow that will _probably_ solve your problem. FFdshow supports both xvid & divx 3 / 5 playback.
