Well, first of all, I apologize for asking something that may already have been responded here, but none of the things I have seen fit exactly what I’m looking for.

I have a movie of 5 vob files. No ifo nor bup file. I know that each one contain one video stream, two audio streams and two subtitles streams. I want to keep all that stuff, and put it into DVDLabPro to author.

I tried joining the 5 vob files with VobMerge (VobEdit wont merge), but DVDLab didn’t like the vob resulting. Gave me error messages about the header of two audio files, and shocked with video file.

I tried demultiplexing first each vob file, but I guess this will get me into a mess of linking files into DVDLab, and difficulting much setting chapters. Also, I will need to split the subtitles into 5 pieces, too.

I really don’t know which should be my next step, m.g. Any help woult be much appreciated.

even i'm a newbie. so these r not really answers to ur query. just suggestions ..

why u r using a separate application to merge the VOBs ?

DVDLab itself provides the option for merging the vobs. Right? i mean, when importing VOBs to the Assets area it will ask u whether to merge the VOB files or not ..

Thank you very much for your answer. Well, I just forgot to say that I already tried this, but DVDLab gave me one video file 59 minutes long, and two audio files 120 minutes long each one, so I guess something went wrong, in my case.

Are the 5 VOBs the one continuous play feature ?

If so, are they split at 1GB chunks already ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

Jimmalenko, to both your questions, yes.

Jimmalenko and wimpio, thanks for the ifo edit tip

And Jimmalenko again. Thanks for the tutorial link. Just one more thing before giving it a try. As VobEdit did not merge my vobs, but I got this done with VobMerge, I guess I can start your tutorial at IfoEdit part, right?

    One more time, thank you.

    Yep.

That's why I linked you to where the IFOEdit bit starts
    If in doubt, Google it.

Done, and it worked pretty fine.
Afterwards I used PgcDemux, in order to get the subs files, but I got a .sup file that I did not figure out how to convert.
So I went into Subrip, and, when loading the first Vob setting the Autoselect matching VOBs, I got my 5 Vob files into two .srt files, English and Spanish.
    Thanks again
