Hi,
It's usually pretty clear cut what IRE levels most formats tend to follow, but where do laserdiscs fall in? I've heard so many things...
Someone told me that they are outputted at something around 3-4 without exception.
However, I've read other conflicting things saying that there are Japanese that "might" be geared towards 0 IRE, etc. Needless to say, I'm confused!
If it helps any, I have a Pioneer Elite CLD-99, and I do own quite a few Japanese pressings. Thanks in advance.

Far as I know, USA NTSC Laserdiscs should have a black level of 7.5, Japanese NTSC and all PAL Laserdiscs a Black Level of 0.

Laserdisc players don't "step up" or alter the levels as DVD players sometimes do, correct?
