Rookie question that I couldn't find on past posts. I've captured several of my family 8mm tapes (2 hour per tape) as wmv (640X480) files using Pyro a/v, edited them (added titles, scenes) and burned them to a DVD using Premiere 1.0. Can I increase the quality (i.e. by capturing as MPEG2 or avi) but still get a 2 hour tape onto a DVD?

    definetly..

i would suggest capturing to a loseless codec (mjpeg, huffyuv, etc), editing out what you dont want from the capture, and then convert to an dvd-spec mpeg.. then author.

wmv is probably the worst you could have captured to, except maybe real media.
