  1. Are any of the DVD+RW more scratch resistent than other brands? I have some Fujifilm DVD+RW and they seem to scratch extremely easy. The reason I got +RW was to use them over and over, but in about a month of use, without abuse (other than laying them down on a desk), they seem to be scratched all over.

  2. I don't know why they don't make RW media with TDK's "armor plated" technology. It's only available on DVD-R media as far as I know:

the Armor plated discs aren't that effective in my observations. I bought a small pack of them. You can try it yourself. Take an armor plated disc and a normal disc. Put them burnt side down on your desktop. Drag them both to the edge and pick them up. Notice any difference? I certainly don't. I think it's just a marketing gimmick to raise the price of discs.

Interesting. The www.tdk.com (North America?) web site only lists DVD-R. The European site (www.tdk-europe.com) lists DVD-R, DVD+R, and DVD-RW. But no DVD+RW.

TDK Armor Plate and Verbatim Video Guard discs hold up pretty well.
