Hi,
Is there any software out there, that will, remove the voice from a small part of a DVD,but leave the music still playing.
What has happen is that a TV announcement has come in the middle of a film, I need to remove this.
Thanks,
Chris Sayer![]()

I use the analogX vocal remover, but I don't think it will help much in your case. It is based on the idea that vocals are recorded evenly on both channels of a stereo track, so by inverting the wave of one channel, and overlaying on the other, the vocals will be cancelled out. So long as that is the case, it works reasonably well. The catch is, if there is anything else that is the same on both channels (percussion etc) they will also be cancelled out. I have had some tracks reduced to little more than backing vocals because they had very little seperation in the recording.
To use it you would have to demux the audio, convert it to wav format, then load it up into your audio editor (that supports directx plugins) and process just that section, then reencode the audio and put it back. Is it really worth the effort ?Read my blog here.
