  1. Ive done everything right up to now, but while in TMPGEnc it took 8 hours to change the file into the dvd mpg, but for the last 20 minutes its been sitting on 1 second to go. The mpg file isn't playable either - its greyed out like its still being updated however nothing is happening to it - the file size is not changing, either is the modified date.

    Does TMPGEnc Source creator usually do this ?

    I don't know exactly what you can expect from a machine like yours and you don't state how long the clip is but 8 hours for maybe a 1 hour video wouldn't seem off the mark to me for a straight encode.

    As for the error I can't help you there. Sounds like it's hanging and you'll have to give it another try.

    There seems to be some mutiplexing or something going on after TMPGEnc reaches 100% - experienced that too.
    That said, you mostly don't have to reencode a SVCD mpeg to author it to DVD. Just run it thru svcd2dvdmpg, and it should be accepted by all authoring apps and work in most DVD players.
