  3. Many, many more problems showing up in EU. When this happened before for the G04s, it struck in the US about now. I would avoid.
Still a few bugs in the system...

Got a Pioneer 107, and I've burnt about 80 now without missing a beat.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  5. Go5 are runnig fine here. Use 108 burner had NO costers or poor playing disks.... Just stick to the branded ones such as RiDisk (red) or Datawrite (blue).
    Not bothered by small problems...

  6. Because Ritek changed G05 dye formular end of last year, your firmware has to be new enough. Check your burner and firmware version with this compatibility list (2nd column with headline "G05"):

In most of the reported problems old firmware was involved.

But generally there are more reported problems with white inkjet printable than with silver top disks. Example:

I think, the best G05 disks are Traxdata non-printable disks. Those are very good. If you want printable disks, switching to TY02 seems to be right from my viewpoint.

I just don't get this one. It's been a problem for LOTS of medias in the past 6-8 months or so. TY, PRODISC, MCC, TDK, etc .... even the best media are not immune.

Gives me yet another reason to not like inkjets.

Compare for example statistically "Datawrite Printable"
    https://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia.php?dvdmediasearch=datawrite+printable&dvdmediadvdri...+or+List+Media
    to "Datawrite Classic" (=non-printable)

See also a more systematic experiment related to that:

I have the impression, that mainly cheap media have a special inkjet printable related problem, also from my own experience with some white printable LONGTEN001 and RITEKM02.

  10. I personally have not had any problems with ritek g05. I've already burned about a 100 white inkjet printables. I just ordered 200 regular ones at 8x. TY are good but I can't sit around burning at 4x all day long.
