  1. I am hoping someone could help. I'm trying to export a DVD to Mpeg using Womble Mpeg Video Wizard, but every time I try, the sound is 6 seconds faster than the picture. FYI -- I checked off "Export Work Area", but still no luck. Is this a common problem? Am I missing something obvious?

    Thanks in advance...

UPDATE -- I ran the GOP fix, and now it's a few seconds too slow...

  2. extract the audio only and use goldwave to insert silence to put in sync

  3. Thanks for the reply Nelson. That's one way to fix it... but I'd like to avoid the problem if possible. Mpeg Video Wizard comes highly recommended, and I really wish I didn't have to use another program to correct the mistake. From all that I've read, this isn't supposed to happen with Womble.

I haven't experienced this (yet). But you might try defragging your HDD before ripping the file. Also, I almost always use DVD Decrypter to rip. (And one more thing, there is a new version of MVW out.)

I actually did all three of the above before I exported. It's something else. Thanks though!
