  2. Are the subs in the black area, or on the main part of the video?

  4. Perhaps I should have made my post a little clearer:

    Do the subtitles appear here:

    Or here:

    The difference being is the former can easily be maked with a black logo imposed over the subs, whereas in the latter, unless they appear briefly where one can DeLogo them, it would be quite difficult to remove them, in my opinion.

  5. the sub is like in the second picture..... but can i still "take 'em out" thats all i want....cause right now i have a .AVI file that (for some reason) needs VobSub to play the sub...if i uninstall VobSub the subs dissapear.... so im thinking of taking out the sub and remake the .AVI so it can be played without VobSub and the subs will be showing anyway.
    (srry if its unclear what i want :P)

    open the avi with virtualdubmod
    check under streams->stream list
    do you see any sub there?

    or try avimux gui, i think you can remove vobsubs with it.

  10. Is there a sub file with same file name, like an extension of .srt, .ssa, or .sub?

  11. Its prolly a hard sub. If so, you cannot ramove them except a delogo filter, but it still wont produce desirable results.

    If your making a vcd or dvd of the file you have to resize the video and add borders with avisynth. Use FitCD to make your script.

  12. Idon't think so. They disappear without VobSub running.
