movies for dvd standalone...

hio...i made some movies for dvd standalone...avi+subtitle with virtualdub(subtitle made with ssa)...tmpgenc(with dvd2svcd) for convert the movie to svcd...but now i need some help...my subtitles appears on the film screen...but i want the subtitles to appear on the black board,under the movie screen...how can i get this ? can anyone tell me , please , how to do this ?

The black border at the bottom of the screen isn't part of the movie (example. displaying a ws movie on a standard tv...the tv adds black bars), so you can't get the subs to display down there.

You may be able to resize the video to 4:3 format, adding the black bars yourself, then the black bars will be part of the video. Then when you add the subs, they should display at the bottom, which is now a black bar.
