Ok, well I'm trying to sub and karaoke some video file I have with VirtualDub Mod. The subtitling program I am using is SubStation Alpha.
I have been using this guide to do the Karaoke: http://kasshin.net:2000/karaoke_guide.swf.
Now, when I encode with VDM the quality greatly decreases and the audio/video is all out of wack which I know it isn't cos I can preview it.
I have no idea why it's doing this.
The video file is DivX encoded and even when I encode to divX again with the karaoke and subs...they come out all crappy and the quality of the whole video has gone.
Can anyone help?

Crank up the Divx bitrate. Video -> Compression -> make sure Divx is selected -> Configure.
