And by the way..
if i choose to make dvd ffmpegx, then i can't make subtitles.. but if I choose dvd mpeg2nce then i can ?
Why is it so ?

The encoded file size is the size needed by the encoder (ffmpeg) which encodes in variable bitrate.
If the encoder is very optimized like it is the case for ffmpeg, the encoded file size may be smaller than if you use another encoder.
You can make subtitles with "dvd ffmpeg" as selectable subtitles. You may check the guide at http://homepage.mac.com/major4/dvd_sub.html

Okii thank you..
If I use the dvd ffmpeg, then i can't get the subtitle on the dvd, so it can be played on a dvd player ? I have to use the mpeg2nce then, right ?
-
Wrong. You can get the subtitle if you follow this guide, both with mpeg2enc or ffmpeg. http://homepage.mac.com/major4/dvd_sub.html

By using this guide http://homepage.mac.com/major4/dvd_sub.html the subtitles are not burned, they are selectable (that is, you can turn them on or off with the remote control).
