Some of my videos, about 1/4 of them, run just fine, except for one thing. A movie ca be 16 minutes but only play for 1 and a half or so. When you move the little scroll bar in reverse and start to play again, it shows a different part of the movie, ahead of the minute and a half that is displayed. Sometimes it will simply freeze up. I moved the video file to a different computer and it played fine, displaying 16 minutes long, and playing all of it. I have no idea what's wrong! ANy help would be appreciated.

Sounds like either a codec problem or a corrupted video file.
Try playing them on VLC media player. It uses it own codecs.
Also check them with Gspot or AVIcodec and see if the length is correct here.
