IFO files are part of the dvd specification and are needed for any dvds to play in a dvd player or PC. Without the IFO files, you would not be able to play the dvd.
when ripping any movie, either full disk or movie only, ensure IFO files are included. For movie only, include just the IFOs for the same titleset of the movie.
