  1. I have a question under MODE for ISO for DVD Decrypter.

If I go to "read" does it extract whatever is in my drive onto my hard drive as an ISO?
If I go to "write" does it extract then burn it? Or does it find an ISO file from my computer to burn? (I always thought only programs like Nero allows to burn and DVD Decrypter only extracts)

If you are just doing ISO copies, I would suggest you use Imgburn instead. It is the (much) upgraded version of DVD Decrypter, minus the DVD decrypting bits.

That said, both of them work in the same way. Read puts an ISO on your HDD, Write takes an ISO from your HDD and burns it to disc. Neither have a single step create ISO, switch disc, burn ISO mode.

  3. guns1inger, thank you. Imgburn works the best.

A side question. I also tried using Nero Burning ROM. I selected DVD-ISO to burn my ISO file. But it says that the ISO file is bigger than 2GB, so I need to select DVD-UDF. Does that still burn it as an ISO or does it burn it as a data file? I need to burn an ISO file, not as a data....not sure if DVD-UDF make a difference.

Does anyone know why Nero has a 2 GB limit for ISO files?

Just use imgburn in 'write' mode. That will take your ISO and create the disk as it was (not a data disk).

    Nero is just too 'fussy'

  5. Yeah, seems like everyone like Imgburn. I've used that and was just trying to play around with Nero. But Nero burns ISOs only when it is smaller than 2GB. If bigger than 2GB, I think you have to select DVD-ROM UDF. Then they have a hybrid DVD ROM UDF/ISO, which I have no idea what that is for.

In Nero, switch to nero Express and choose "Disc Image or Saved Project".
    If in doubt, Google it.
