Encoding movie files with tmpeg 3.0 xpress..havin problems.

I am having trouble encoding some avi movie files using this software. I have used older versions with no hassle and converted to mpeg many times, but this new version starts encoding then gives me error messages and gives me the 'send' 'dont send' boxes. What enviromental settings should I use for 3.0 xpress.. I changed my enviromental settings on older versions of tmpg and could encode anything, just cant remember what I used!! Thanx!!
