  1. i tryed to see what codec i needed with GSpot and it came up n/a on video and audio, so what codec do i need with MKV files

    Depends what streams are in it. MKV is just a container and as such itself doesn't require codecs.

    If you install the matroska shell extension then it should tell you what streams are inside.
