I am trying to author a dvd with 2 cartoon films. I am using DVD Shrink but even after stripping all unnecessary things and just leaving 2 sound tracks and 2 subtitle tracks per film the size is still 500 MB too big. The compression cannot be lowered any more, what do I do?

You could try cutting the credits and maybe the opening Title scene.

I could use DVD2One but that means ripping the films to the HD first and then finding space for the authored DVD. Is this better? What will the quality be like?

You could try authoring the DVD with the extra 500 mb, then have DVDshrink re shrink the new DVD. Not sure of the quality.

  6. I would try it. Reauthor, then shrink...another half gig isn't really that much.

I'd go with shrinking the shrunken file.....if they're cartoons then quality won't be that big of an issue.
