Tell me what is so offensive about a womans breast, this is what I don't get. What do you think a lot of kids have thrust into their face for the first year of their life (lucky bastards)Originally Posted by yoda313

It is not something that children should be brought up to think is dirty or seedy, which this sort of reaction promotes. Yes it was wrong to do it at the superbowl, but like I said IMHO the reaction was out of all proportion, I guess you get used to that with the American Media, and unfortunately this sort of sensationalist journalism is getting worse over here also. -
Surely you know the difference between the thoughts of an infant and the thoughts of a teenage boy going through puberty.Originally Posted by Craig Tucker

You're right. Sex shouldn't be dirty or seedy. It should be a beautifully sacred act of passion and love shared privately between a man and a woman (though I must admit I haven't tried it yetOriginally Posted by Craig Tucker
). I think that this sort of reaction promotes that sex is not a public or frivolous thing. This point should be made to any children who were unfortunate enough to witness the half-time show at the superbowl.

Who mentioned sex, I was talking about the female form.

I was never breast-fed. So does that mean I've never been conditioned to see it as anything other than sexual?
And yes, I agree with gummyAvenger. To a teenage boy, everything ...everywhere is always about sex, all the time. -
.... Sharing just a little too much info there Cap.

I could have gone the rest of my life without that idea stuck in my head.)

i would say this is more an issue:
Police: Woman threw sex parties for teenagers
ARVADA, Colorado (AP) -- A 40-year-old woman held sex and drug parties with teenage boys, telling police she wanted to be a "cool mom," authorities say.
Sylvia Johnson allegedly provided marijuana, methamphetamine and alcohol to eight boys at parties held at her suburban Denver home in 2003 and 2004. According to court papers, she admitted having sex with five of the boys.
One of the boys told his mother, and Johnson was arrested in December and charged with offenses including sexual assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
According to court papers, Johnson told investigators she was not popular in high school and had finally started "feeling like one of the group."
"She described herself as a 'cool mom,'" police said.
Authorities did not say how many children she has or whether any of them were at the parties.
A message left at the number listed for Johnson was not immediately returned."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -

WTF is happening to this world ?
Zero tolerance, and now this ?
A woman with a bra showing is no diffeent to to a 2-piece bikini IMO ... and you're sure to see some jiggling when she breaks into a trot ...
... and then there's those who wear white seethrough blouses to work, when you can see the bra and eveything it contains quite clearly ...
<shakes head>If in doubt, Google it. -
Now let's analyse that. Hmm... girl wearing bra while jiggling...
Don't men usually waive dollar bills at that? -

honestly, wearing clothing relates back to modesty. Heavy modesty was instilled by early Christians. They thought it was sin to invite lust or temtation, so it was virtually banned everywhere in early days of Christianity. Egyptian writings are extremely graphic, along with Asian, early Greek, even parts of Latin writings. It seems, morally, nudity should be optional by any person, but the person who takes exteme offense is actually the one who needs to get over a problem. If it's accepted, then how could the children be at risk? It seems to be fine in other countries where children grow up normally and aren't psycho murderers or sexual molesters. It seems the biggest area of offenders is where the option of nudity is allowed the least. Just my thought. I'm not saying we should all go nude, I just think that people take things a little farther than they really need to.

Hmm... I'm not certain all your facts are completely accurate. If it was a "religious" movement to wear clothing, it certainly wasn't the early Christians that started it. The Jews (and I suspect many other culturesOriginally Posted by Doramius
) had been wearing clothing long before Jesus arrived. If you want to get technical, the first recorded clothing movement was probably when Adam and Eve felt ashamed because they were naked. I'm no ancient history expert, but I do know that the Greeks weren't known for their modesty. In fact, someone pointed out to me just yesterday that the Greeks would have sexual relations with anything that moved.
I believe the Romans, on the other hand, were much more civilized and would have been appalled/offended at the actions of the Greeks.

What are these "morals" things you guys are talking about??? Do we need them? Where can I buy some? Anyone?? I knowOriginally Posted by Capmaster

First, let's not make this about religion.
Second, cavemen were wearing the hides off the animals they killed so they don't get cold. Modesty was later invented by civilized culture to propegate the necessity for this physical need.
Third, Ancient Greeks were the most civilized society around at the time and nothing was considered sexually taboo because they were pagans. Everyone within contact distance was a pagan then. Once the spread of Christianity reached Greece they converted to Orthodoxism and remain so to this day with strict moral ethics. -
