  1. I am trying to use Tmpgenc Edit tools to cut some clips from the mpeg file produced by the PV231 card. That mpeg file should be vcd compliant and with sound. However, the output file does not have sound at all. What wrong have I done? Any settings I should be aware of?

    Thanks.

  2. TMPGenc won't cut with sound on these files. The only downside to the PV cards is the mpg files seem a little "different". If you de/remux with TMPGenc, it will then work. Much easier to use something like MyFlix or IfilmEdit though.

Also, if you record non-VCD files with this card, the streams are hard to edit and maintain audio sync for some reason. IfilmEdit is the only one I've found that maintains sync, but I think that's because it's not frame accurate.

  3. I tried to de/remux with TMPGEnc and got an "illegal Dolby AC3 Stream" error. My card is new and I'm using the newest driver off Provideo's website, Dated Dec 15, 2001.

I also tried iFilm with no Luck, Audio out of sync, a first.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'm interested

    Thanks
