ATI Radeon 8500 or Pinacle dv500 plus?

That is the question..

Recently I bought the dv500 plus from pinnacle at work, but it doesnt seem to support dual monitors.
smarty pants contractor says I now need a Radeon card that will support editing capturing and dual monitors all in one.

So do I put in the Radeon all in one or keep the dv500 plus and add in a simple dual monitor support video card...

Make sense?
recommendations?

is the ati better than the pinnacle?
