In these days I want to format all my 2 drives : 200GB Maxtor / 80GB Maxtor ATA.
The Sata drive is connected to a VIA controller in an Asus K8v mb.
I use often , the sata drive for storing iso image of DVD I burn (4.7gb for eace one)
In your opinion, where do you think is better to install Windows ? Sata or ATA ?

  2. I don't have a SATA drive but I would put it on the SATA for faster speeds. I'd use the IDEs for storage. Just my .02¢

You always want your OS on the fastest drive, so go with the SATA
