  1. Say i want to burn one of the iowa games i capture onto a dvd.. my capture card can capture the following types

    DVD extra long - 1.2gb/h
    DVD long - 2.4gb/h
    DVD standard - 3.1gb/h
    MPEG1 VCD - .65gb/h
    MPEG2 (full d1) - .9gb/h
    MPEG2 (half d1) - .9gb/h
    MPEG2 (full d1) - 5.4gb/h
    MPEG2 (CBR) - 5.4gb/h

i want the highest quality so i was thinking the last one.. but is that compatitble with dvd players or do i have to stick to something else.. i have ULEAD dvd factory if that has anything to do with it.

any advice? the dvd format is dvd+r with 4.7gb or 2 hours worth of space on sp mode... the game is like 2 hours maybe slightly more.. i plan to edit out the commercials to lower the space taken up..

    whats your recommendations?

  2. If you want to do the highest I would do it over two discs. One disc per half (is american football in halfs?).
    If it's wet, drink it

  3. well im going to test it tonight on an Iowa college basketball game...

College Foootball has halfs.. but its by quarters also... 15 mins per qt.. 30 mins per half... Of course thats not counting tv timeouts, timeouts, and clock stoppages.

so the time for 1 football game is usually over 2 hours.. sometimes more then 3
