I don't want to covert to mp3, since dvdlab (for background music) doesn't accept it, and wav it says it's too big. So I'm going to try mp2 or mpa. Any ideal?

    Hello,

Convert it to mp2 with besweet and you should be just fine (it's not 100% dvd compatible if it's the only track on the disc but my hauppauge wintv pvr 250 only records in mp2 audio and I've NEVER had a problem with mp2 audio only dvds - you should be just fine ).

I'll second ffmpeggui - Much much easier than BeSweet to use. Fast too...

Thanks I was able to convert to mp2 with Besweet, but now dvdlab wants it to be at 48kHz. Any ideal? I'll try ffmpeggui.

... or you could try <insert tool that Daamon and jimmalenko are secretly working on as we speak here>

    Never mind ...

besweet or ffmpeggui can certainly do the job - as alluded to by Yoda, you might have an issue with mp2/mpa audio on it's own, so it might be advisable to convert to AC3 instead.

EDIT: You worked it out ...
    If in doubt, Google it.

DVD audio is always at 48KHz. (S)VCD is always at 44,100Hz (44.1KHz). Just for future reference...
