    Okay, there is a wav file after I rip this dvd. But it won't encode in TMPGEnc. It'll play in media player and everything it's just after I encode a test clip there is no audio on the PC or on my standalone.......

    I SUCK!!!!

    download VirtualDub, read the .avi file, set the audiostream to full processing mode, the videostream to direct stream copy and save the whole .avi to another name on disk. Well, this option works with some DivX movies which loses the audio after encoding so maybe it will work with ripped .vob files too.

    Porto, I am not sure this is a DivX, it was a direct rip that I did. Unless it defaults somehow to DivX, then I didn't use it.

    if it's a ripped .vob file (renamed to .avi for playback with mediaplayer) you can use the same solution to regain audio in your stream. But then again, maybe not because I do both ripping of dvd's and transcoding divX files and until now only saw this kind if problem with DivX files

    but you can try, you'll never know!
