Just realised, when you asked this did you think Northants was the name of a town? it's an abbreviation of Northamptonshire. there's lots of shires all over the country that get shortened in weird ways. Bedfordshire is Beds. Hertfordshire is Herts, Buckinghamshire is Bucks, and so on. then you get boroughs, like loughborough, which ozzys pronounce loo-ga burr-uga?

Yes. I thought it was your town. I can see why you shortened it

A lot of locals shorten "Albuquerque" to "Alb." or "Albuq." on mail return addresses.

i can't believe i still didn't make it clear, Northamptonshire isn't a town, Northampton is a town and the area around it is Northamptonshire!
So i live in a small town, in northamptonshire. hope that makes sense now

It annoys the crap out of me when i ask someone on here "what country are you in?" because of a video question and they say HY or TP or something, just blindly assume i know what it means

I got it. I read the post with my first coffee of the day. It takes a while to sink in. So the area around a town has the suffix "shire". Got it

    Tekkieman,
Nicely done. After watching your commute I think I got my fix of seeing trees and green stuff. Lots of those in your area. I was a bit disappointed we missed seeing the hot neighbor with the halter top, but ...oh well

I was disappointed she was not there as well. But there are several trees in front of her fence, so I usually only get quick glimpses. One day on the way home, she was out, and her next door neighbor was out in a string bikini! Double treat that day.

Most of the trees in the area top over 150ft high. We have a few redwoods as well. They run 5-7ft through the middle(diameter)!

I would, however, trade the view of the trees for a view of the aforementioned bush
