What is the best type of DVD-R (4X, 8X) media is best to use with the R200?

I have an Epson 900, I use only Prodisc Media. I get mine from either www.supermediastore.com and www.rima.com. They have both the 4X and 8X media.I would suggest getting a sample pack to see if you like it.

The Epson R200 is a printer not a burner. It doesn't matter whether you use -R or +R.

    Thanks JYN999, I know it's not a burner. I prefer to use DVD-R media.

In the past, I have been using white generic printable DVDs, and they work well.

Just picked up Ridata white printable, and they work as well.

Also picked up silver Prodata printable, and they work very well, but look a lot different. Not just because they are silver, but because you seem to be printing onto a transparent layer. If you don't look directly at the surface, you see a reflection of the text on a lower layer - gives it depth.

Unless you are looking directly at the surface, it makes it a little harder to read until you get used to it.

    However, I like it.....

  7. I have used Ritek G05, Prodisc, Optodisc and Bealls to print on and all are very nice. Mostly hub printables.

Some printable discs have a slightly rough or textured surface and dont print as nice in my honest opinion. The smooth tops take the ink nicely and are dry to the touch upon exiting the printer.
