    ok i bought my sony dru510a about a year ago, its been working fine since then until today... i was in the middle of burning a cd when the burn failed and it froze my computer. although the burner was still reading or writing (the light kept blinking). nothing was responding so i shut it down by holding in the power button. now when i started it back up the light was still blinking, and now windows is reading it as a SONY BOOT DRU510A and i cant do anything with it, i cant even open the tray. I have tried disconnecting it and reconnecting it but the light still blinks. any help?

    U can try uninstalling it in control panel & restarting your computer. Make sure no disk is in it.

    hmm just tried that and same thing, light just keeps blinking...
    ive emailed sony for support who knows when ill get a reply

    did you ever solve your problem? I've got the same problem, blinking light and no eject.
