I am new to capturing and I have a PIII 1.0 GH with 256 ram and 40 GB 7200 HD and Asus CUSL2 motherboard with ATI ALL in Wonder Radeon. I have tried capturing several minutes of video from different sources but all of my mpg's I create all have a fuzzy lines at the bottom. The lines look like the tracking is off on a VCR. This happens when I record from a VCR, Camcorder or Cable source. I am using the ATI software to capture to a VCD complaint MPG. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I don't think you can get rid of it. Those fuzzy lines are in what's called the "overscan" area, if you burn them onto a VCD and watch on a TV, you won't see it. The overscan area is the area of a television's picture tube that extends (is covered by) the tv's casing.
