IMSC .......I think it goes on the whole time you're alive. The cartilage between your vertebra compress/wear out, other joints like knees and hips do the same thing. And your posture gets worse as you get older, making it even worse.

Most likely just a doctor screw up when measuring. I remember when I had cancer and would go in for weekly check-ups which included height and weight measurements.

They'd sometimes vary upto 2cm and a kilo or two from week to week just from the different nurses doing it.

Depends what time of day you measure the height.

Believe it or not, you can be a cm or so taller in the morning after you wake up than if you've been standing for 12 hours or so.
