Does anyone know what would cause the audio on a 29.97 frame rate encode to be delayed by 1 full second. I reencoded the AC3 audio to Oms delay. I am still having the muxing issue in TMPGenc and bbmpeg. I followed the settings in the guides for bbmpeg. Are there any other programs I can try? I also have tried playing the file in PowerDVD and Windows Media Player 9 and have the exact same results.

I had to use bbmpeg to mux the video. I set the video to start 500msec later, and that synced the audio. Still dont know why the audio was so far off. I even rencoded the video at 23.976 and the issue was still there.

Get a stopwatch and use several reference points to get an exact amount of delay that you need. Run the program and set this value as the start delay. Check the write silence box and save the new audio file. I hope this solves your problem. -
If you use TPMGEnc then there is an audio delay box in the Source Range window. Try encoding short clips until you get it exactly right.
