Ritek G03 P..7 problem

I bought 50 of the G03 DVD-Rs thinking that all G03s were the same. I was wrong. The previous batch of P..Y G03s worked awesome on my A04 1.31 FW burned @ 2X.

So far, with the new batch, I'm getting only 50% successful burns. Any thoughts on what I can do? Perhaps go with another FW and burn @ 1X? I feel like I've been ripped off.

Alright, after much hair pulling, I have arrived at a "fix". I upgraded the firmware to 1.40.

That meant being forced to burn at 1X. However, this worked and I haven't had a coaster since.

Bottom line: It appears that for the combination of Ritek G03 P..7 and FW 1.40, burning at 1X works fine, albeit SLOW.

Install the hacked firmware to burn Ritek at 2x with 1.40 and that should work fine, if your willing to do it that is.
