  1. I am having so many problems installing this card

    Current System:
    ==============
    PIII 800EB
    Gigabyte Board
    256Mb SDRAM
    GeForce 440MX 64Mb
    SB Live 128
    Windows XP
    ==============

    I downloaded the latest drivers and have unzipped them into a directory. Everytime I point to them, they appear in the driver screen, but EVERYTIME I select 1 (I have 4 options - TV2000 XP WDM Audio and Video Capture and VC100 WDM Audio and Video) WinXP tells me that these drivers do not match the hardware. I have read through a couple of methods I found on the forum, but they didnt work for me. Even if I ignore this error and select a driver, the software which comes with the card cannot find any Audio or Video sources.

    I tried using the drivers provided on the CD, but they also produce the same errors. PLEASE someone help... I have taken some time off work to create some homemade dvd's, and I gotta return to work soon!

    Thanx in advance...

  3. Have you tried installing the card in various PCI slots? Also make sure your install the drivers from the CD first and make sure they work before installing the ones you downloaded. Another thing to do is remove the card completely from the device manager, reboot, and Windows should detect it.

  4. I am trying to avoid installing the card in another PCI slot, as I know that the slot it is in works fine. I have installed other cards into it. Also, windows detects it as a Multimedia Controller and Multimedia Video Controller. No matter what drivers I try, CD or downloaded, it tells me that the driver does not match my hardware. Even if I continue with the install, the PVR and TV/FM software doesnt recognise the card.

    I know I am not the only one with this problem, judging from some of the posts. I have SP1 on XP and wonder if it has anything to do with that. This is driving me insane as I bought the card at a local computer swap meet and would have to search far and wide to return the product. I can't believe it could be this hard to install a piece of hardware.

    Thanx for any help in advance...

  5. OK Finally worked it out!!!!!!!!!!!

    It seems there was a conflict with my Sony CDRW and TEAC SCSI drives. When I accidentally removed the SCSI cable from the card when I was fiddling around with things, it worked perfectly! After the install, I plugged the cable back in and things are fine...

    Now if I could only get sound during the video capture from Camcorder all would be well! Now onto some more reading!
